Good Product, but an Unexpected Issue
I purchased this as a means of replacing several years in the late '80' and '90s ('87 thru '94) for an existing Liberty album (circa 1973). The issue I had was I couldn't sync the pages to the my existing Liberty album for the years. To get this to coordinates (no duplicate or missing stamp locations), I had to go back to 1965 and all those pages. This meant removing the stamps from '65 to '86 from my old album and moving them to the new pages/album, and remount those stamps. The reason for the page misalignment was due primarily to how the Harris Co.reformatted page layouts for stamps in four block sets (old the single were on same page, new are on a separate page). I like the new arrangement over the old, but it wasn't clear this moving this many stamp would be needed. But other ... This album is bigger than it used to be. As a result when you turn a page in some of the stamps on the left margin are folded. In addition because the album pages have multiple hole punches—you have to be extra cautious turning pages so the punch holes don’t tear out...and the pages will fall out. The new three hole liberty album version is disappointing as well. Instead of staying with the original binder construction they opted for what is basically a school three ring binder. They should have a three stem binder of the high quality of the original design. Having said all that...collectors don’t really have any choice but to accept one of these two alternatives. Overall a good product for the money, but the paper used is thin, not ideal for mounts and the folder would be better as ring binder as the pages do not lay open that easy
