It's a clean and easy system.
Do you have a specimen coin you want to display, share or perhaps gift but don't want directly handled? My search for finding a way to safely gift a high quality and somewhat rare coin to a family member is what led me to discover Lighthouse Coin Slabs. I grew up in the era of numismatics when mylar windowed fold and staple cardboard coin holders were state of the art... certainly a functional way of protecting a coin but by no means elegant. Fit and finish is what sold me on Quickslab, however as an added bonus it features a "framed" obverse and reverse labeling field where on a label of your own making (or by using those included) you may display information about the coin or whatever you like, a feature ideal for gifting a coin to a recipient who is not necessarily a collector but ... In this instance I'm gifting an uncirculated penny to a family member who was born over 100 years ago so the obverse label will feature their name between two additional lines of type. The top line reads "BIRTH YEAR PENNY" while the bottom reads "LINCOLN WHEAT CENT" plus the year of mintage. The top two lines of the reverse label reads "DESIGNER - ENGRAVER:" and "VICTOR D BRENNER" while the third line indicates the mintage piece total for this penny. I have included a photo of my completed BIRTH YEAR PENNY mounted in its Quickslab plus enlarged digital copies of its labels so that you may better see them. I worked out the label size / fit, font and label colors with my 1958 Wheat Penny and have since used that label as a template for the 100+ year old cent I am gifting to my family member. I believe simple labelling like this in conjunction with the quality of Lighthouse Coin Slabs easily elevates even a well preserved high mintage coin to a keepsake quality gift. Good things still come in small packages. Once snapped together, each element of the unit remains in place. Your coin does not physically touch the slab but rather is cradled in a pliable foam insert with an opening that's precisely sized to snugly grip it. It's a clean and easy system.

Finally a home for my prize finds
Love it, as a disabled vet I don't have the money or trust (mailing) to grade my coins, a FS 01-1955D-001 a home and a FS-01-1955-002 a solid home, as well as a 1960D SmDt over LGDT and a 1972 DDO, came fast at a great price. Ps Lady Luck is wingman and I got ordained for extra mojo but it actually took me years of constant coin hunting to find these, and drove my local coin shop crazy with hundreds of not-double dies, but they don't Cary these, as a divine lighting rod of our society's superstition I bless these, holy coin holders now.
