First apocalypse appearance. get it cuz you love the character, get it because it's still a good book to spec. been many hints about Mr. Sinister in Deadpool, he was created by apocalypse. fox movie didn't do him justice but hopefully MCU will have him eventually or Deadpool universe. can't wait. even if none of that happens I am happy to own this book again from when I was a kid.

I purchased the 95 cent cover price variant (Canadian Newsstand Edition). X-Factor #6 is one of the comic book keys that were published by Marvel during a cover price variant window that opened in October 1982 and closed after August of 1986... and X-Factor #6 was published in July of '86. So it is right towards the end of this window. Throughout the early 1980's, direct edition sales were taking over the market -- direct edition being the type with logos instead of bar codes on them, direct-sold to comic shops on a non-returnable basis. Industry insiders have pegged 1985-1986 as the timeframe when direct edition sales would surpass newsstand sales as a percentage of the total distribution. During the cover price variant window, Marvel printed all direct edition copies with both US and Canadian prices on them, but, printed out two batches of newsstand copies... a batch priced for US currency, and a smaller batch priced for Canadian currency, distributed North of the border. With Canada representing only 9.8% of the North American market for comic books by population, and with only about half of that market serviced by newsstands, the 95 cent cover price copies of X-Factor #6 would therefore only have been 4-5% of the total produced. From the total estimated print run of 340,000 copies, therefore only on the order of 17,000 copies would have been the 95 cent cover price version. This low distribution rarity, combined with the "newsstand-only" distribution of these price variants and the associated high destruction rate typical of newsstand comics, make 95 cent copies of X-Factor #6 hard to find in high grade and highly collectible.Read full review

These books where met with sceptical acclaim when they first hit the stands. " you can't split up the team!!?? So marvel splintered the team into separate groups to cover all around the world, Cosmos and their own back yard.. It also introduced a major and long standing villain " Apacolypse". This is a set worth having for any X fan great read, great art, Great stuff. Get yours soon the price will not go down on theses Babies.!
