' Firefly Button Tree' 12 x 16" original mixed media canvas.

There is a wide variety of colourful buttons creating the foliage and looking carefully you can see the millions of tiny blue firefly dots beneath the 'leaves' of the tree. I used an assortment of Dylusions paints to create the background and modelling paste to give texture to the tree trunk which is highlighted with a pale blue wax finish. !
